Moonbeam View
Design in a Day (DIAD); Landed home; 2021
Many clients reach out to us after visiting a home styled by Arete Culture. This client first became acquainted with our work at his office, which we had styled a few years ago. When he decided on engaging professional help for his residential space, he approached our team to help him create a home that would facilitate entertaining while allowing the family to comfortably use the space every day.

Notes from our stylists
The client asked us to retain two pieces — the area rug in the living room, and the coffee table. We developed the colour palette of the home from colours in the rug.
To accommodate the client’s requests for a dual-purpose space, we reconfigured the seating arrangement to incorporate more multi-functional pieces. We brought in a chaise, bench, and armchairs. These pieces are easily moved around for entertaining, and make for comfortable lounging during everyday use.
We used with gold accents and reflective surfaces were brought in to lighten the original dark colour palette. Balancing the heavier pieces with these finishes also imbued the eclectic home with a modern touch.
